{"id":146,"date":"2020-02-01T10:38:20","date_gmt":"2020-02-01T05:08:20","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2026-09-03T16:47:18","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T16:47:18","slug":"how-to-change-email-id-and-contact-number-on-gst-registration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalsalaah.com\/blog\/how-to-change-email-id-and-contact-number-on-gst-registration\/","title":{"rendered":"How to change email id &#038; Contact Number on GST Registration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\">After getting GST Registration Number, and by mistake alternative\/wrong contact number and Email address updated in your GST account and want to mention your own contact number and Email address you need to just follow the below given steps:<\/font><\/p>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font size=\"5\" color=\"#330033\" face=\"Georgia\"><b>#1-First login to your GST account<\/b><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font size=\"5\" color=\"#330033\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\">#2- Go to SERVICES and next go to REGISTRATION and then AMENDMENT OF GST REGISTRATION NON- CORE FIELDS.<\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\">#3- Go to Authorized Signatory tab then click on ADD NEW button.<br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\">#4- Add a DUMMY PERSON (Authorized Signatory) details just like you filled for PROPRIETOR. Upload documents as well. Enter the taxpayer Contact NUMBER and EMAIL address you want to update on GST portal then click on save button.<br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\">#5- You can see that dummy person is also added.<br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\">#6- Now click on Edit-Original Authorized Signatory (Sole Proprietor) and unchecked the Primary Authorized Signatory Box. Unchecked the RIGHT MARK in check box.<br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\">#7- Now go to dummy person (Designation- Authorized Signatory) and click on PRIMARY AUTHORIZED SIGNATORY BOX. It should turn green with right mark.<br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\">#8- When you click on check box you can see in MOBILE NUMBER and EMAIL address tab that it shows the previous MOBILE NUMBER and EMAIL ID.<br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><b style=\"\">#9- Here is the main step:<\/b><\/font><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><b>Note<\/b>: Don\u2019t forget to change the mobile number or email address which you want to update in GST portal.<br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\">#10-\u00a0 Once it is done click on SAVE button. When you click on save there appears a Pop up window where it asks you to enter the OTP which you obtain on New Mobile Number and Email address.<br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\">#11- Enter the OTP and verify GST amendment application.<br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\">#12- Once it verifies, your new contact number and Email address is updated<br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\">#13- One more time Unchecked the Primary Authorized Signatory tab in dummy person. And Delete\/Remove the dummy person (Authorized Signatory).<br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\" size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font color=\"#330033\"><font size=\"4\" face=\"Georgia\">#14- Finally you want to check amended application GO to the Proprietor TAB and click on PRIMARY AUTHORIZED SIGNATORY tab.
