How to change email id & Contact Number on GST Registration
Abhishek Kumar / 2020-02-01 10:38:20After getting GST Registration Number, and by mistake alternative/wrong contact number and Email address updated in your GST account and want to mention your own contact number and Email address you need to just follow the below given steps:
#1-First login to your GST account
#2- Go to SERVICES and next go to REGISTRATION and then AMENDMENT OF GST REGISTRATION NON- CORE FIELDS.
#3- Go to Authorized Signatory tab then click on ADD NEW button.
#4- Add a DUMMY PERSON (Authorized Signatory) details just like you filled for PROPRIETOR. Upload documents as well. Enter the taxpayer Contact NUMBER and EMAIL address you want to update on GST portal then click on save button.
#5- You can see that dummy person is also added.
#6- Now click on Edit-Original Authorized Signatory (Sole Proprietor) and unchecked the Primary Authorized Signatory Box. Unchecked the RIGHT MARK in check box.
#7- Now go to dummy person (Designation- Authorized Signatory) and click on PRIMARY AUTHORIZED SIGNATORY BOX. It should turn green with right mark.
#8- When you click on check box you can see in MOBILE NUMBER and EMAIL address tab that it shows the previous MOBILE NUMBER and EMAIL ID.
#9- Here is the main step:
Note: Don’t forget to change the mobile number or email address which you want to update in GST portal.
#10- Once it is done click on SAVE button. When you click on save there appears a Pop up window where it asks you to enter the OTP which you obtain on New Mobile Number and Email address.
#11- Enter the OTP and verify GST amendment application.
#12- Once it verifies, your new contact number and Email address is updated
#13- One more time Unchecked the Primary Authorized Signatory tab in dummy person. And Delete/Remove the dummy person (Authorized Signatory).
#14- Finally you want to check amended application GO to the Proprietor TAB and click on PRIMARY AUTHORIZED SIGNATORY tab. Taxpayers will see new contact number and Email address.
Click on SAVE AND CONTINUE and SUBMIT your GST Registration Online amendment application.
AFTER FOLLOWING ALL THE STEPS FINALLY YOU’RE CONTACT NUMBER AND EMAIL ADDRESS IS UPDATED IN GST REGISTRATION NUMBER.
