How is ESI contribution paid?

Once registered, the employer is required to make monthly contributions through the ESIC portal in respect of all its employees. The contribution to be paid is calculated using the number of days of the employee for which the wages are paid and the number of contributions paid respectively to calculate the number of wages payable. The total amount of contribution (including shares of employees and employers) in respect of all employees for each month will have to be deposited in any branch of SBI on the generation of invoices like cash or check or demand draft.
