There have been some changes that come in the scheme from time to time
When the PM Kisan scheme was launched on 24 February 2019, its benefit was limited to small and marginal farmers holding up to 2 hectares only. The scheme was subsequently amended on 1 June 2019 and extended to all farmer households, irrespective of the size of their holdings. That is, now a farmer with how many hectares of land can apply to get benefits under the scheme. The benefit under the scheme is Rs 6000 per family per annum, which is available in three installments of Rs 2000 each.
Under the PM Kisan scheme, financial assistance is now available to those farmer families who have a farm in their name. That is, now those who share in the ancestral land as before will not be able to get the benefit of the PM Kisan scheme, although it will not affect the old beneficiaries associated with the scheme.
If there are several names on the single holding land of the farmer's family, then below the prescribed guidelines of the scheme, an advantage of up to Rs.6000 will be receivable to each of such eligible agriculturist families aside. Whether the agricultural land is in the village or in the city, you will get the benefit.
