To avoid stagnation of water in the rainy season, you should keep its ridge slightly above so that the accumulation of water is not near the root. Sandalwood plants require 2 to 3 litters of water in a week. According to experts, sandalwood tree gets disease only due to water. In such a situation, if farmers save it from water, then there is no disease in it.

Farmers will get sandalwood plant for Rs 100 to Rs 130. Apart from this, the cost of the host plant attached with it is about 50 to 60 rupees.

Sandalwood wood is considered to be the most expensive wood. Its market value is around 26 thousand to 30 thousand rupees per kg. From one tree, the farmer gets 15 to 20 kg of wood comfortably. In such a situation, he easily gets 5 to 6 lakh rupees from a tree.

There are two types of sandalwood. One white sandalwood and the other red sandalwood. White sandalwood is cultivated the most in North India. Because it needs a soil with a pH of 7.5. On the other hand, soil of 4.5 to 6.5 pH is needed for red sandalwood tree. This is the reason why red sandalwood is cultivated in South India. Sandalwood trees cannot be grown in sandy and snowy areas.
