How to update exit date in EPF account

The big problem of PF account holders is over now. After changing the jobs, they will now be able to update the date of exit. In the past time the company had the right to update this information. Due to this, the employees had to be very upset to update the PF account.

  • Employees' Provident Fund Organization has introduced a new facility for its account holders. Now the pf holder can fill the date of leaving the job from one place in the EPFO ??system itself. In the previous time an employee had to depend on the company for this. The last joined company itself used to enter or update the date of joining and leaving the company of the employee. Can a pf holder change his date of exit after updation?
Steps to update the date of exit in pf holder account.
Once the job exit date is fill out and updated in the EPFO ??system, it cannot be changed. Also Remember that if you have recently left the job, then the PF Registration holder will have to wait for 2 months to file an exit date. The date of exit will be updated after 2 months only of the last contribution of the employer in the PF.
What is the process to update the date of exit in pf account?
Let's know its complete process
  • Visit on epf web portal.
First go to epf India official website. Log in the EPF WEB PORTAL by entering UAN+passwordand captcha code. Remember your UAN must be active.
  • Manage and mark:
Now the pf holder will choose the 'Manage' tab in the section above on the newly opened page. After this, select 'Mark Exit'.
  • Employment and old account number:
Now 'Select the Employment' dropdown will appear in front of you. In it,PF holder will choose the PF old account number which is linked to your UAN.
  • Put date and reason:
After this a detail will be show there related to that account and job. Now mention thereason with the date for leaving the job. The reasons for leaving the job will be options like retirement, short service.
  • OTP:
After this, click on 'Request OTP'. You will receive it on the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. Now insert OTP in the specified space.
  • Select check box and press ok:
Then select the check box. Finally, click on update and then OK. Now your date of exit has been submitted.
