What is the Modi Government’s special insurance scheme?

After investing in the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), the special scheme of Modi Government), you will get not two, but 3 Insurance cover. Both these insurance covers would be Accidental Death Cover, Disability Cover, and Life Cover. Under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, you will get Accidental and Disability cover, for which you will have to spend 12 rupees.


At the same time, in Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, you will have to spend a total of Rs 330, under which you will get a life insurance cover. In this way, you can get a total of 3 insurance cover by depositing a premium of Rs 342 once a year.

What is Pradhan Mantri Suraksha bima yojna?

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana

Under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, a person will get Accidental and Disability cover, for which he/she will have to spend 12 rupees. In this scheme of the Modi government, people between 18 years and 70 years will get Accidental Death Insurance and Disability Insurance cover. In this also, one can be claimed at the time of death or disability due to an accident. A heart attack is not included in this scheme. On the occasion of accidental death, an insurance amount of Rs 2 lakh can be claimed and Rs 1 lakh for disability.

Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Insurance Scheme

A person will have to spend a total of Rs 330, under which he/she will get a life insurance cover. In this way, the person can get a total of 3 insurance cover by depositing a premium of Rs 342 once a year.


The benefit of this insurance scheme can be taken by any person from the age of 18 to 50 years. It will get 2 lakh rupees' life cover. Under this scheme, a claim of Rs 2 lakh can be made after death due to any condition. On applying for this scheme in the middle of the year, the premium will be fixed on the basis of the application date.


Important:

  • Under Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, the annual premium for June, July, and August will be Rs 330.
  • For the months of September, October and November it will have to pay an annual premium of Rs 258.
  • The premium for December, January, and February will be Rs 172 and for March, April and May it will have to be paid Rs 86 annually.
  • A person can avail of any of these schemes by going to his nearest bank branch.
  • For Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, a person can also apply to LIC or other insurance companies
