Methods to know UAN by Mobile Number

With the help of Mobile Number, you can know your UAN number in 3 ways!

1. Missed Call to EPFO / Through Missed Call

2. By sending message to EPFO / Through Message

3. By visiting the EPFO website / Through EPFO website

Now, let us explain how to use these three options.

How to know UAN through Missed Call?

To know the UAN number from a missed call, it is important that you fulfill the two conditions given below-

A. Your mobile number should be activated on the UAN Unified Portal.

B. One of these three KYC with your UAN number is complete – 

• Bank account number, 

• Aadhaar,

• PAN

Make a missed call on phone number 01122901406

• As soon as you call 01122901406 from your registered mobile number, the phone will automatically cut after two hours.

• A message will come on your mobile number, which will also include your UAN number as well as the final contribution to your account and the total PF Balance.

Note: No money is deducted for using this feature of the missed call. But your registered mobile number must have an outgoing facility.

How to know UAN Number through SMS?

• Type EPFOHO UAN ENG on mobile. Here the last three letters are for the language (if you want to call SMS in Hindi then write EPFOHO UAN HIN)

• Send it to 7738299899 from your registered number

• You will get information about all your PF registration such as UAN number, your last contribution, total PF balance, etc. 

How to know UAN through EPFO Website?

Online, you can also ask for the UAN number on your Mobile Number by visiting the EPFO website. For this, you have to adopt the following steps-

Step 1: Go to unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in

Step2: Below the Login box on the next page is the box of Important Links. In these, click on the link to know your UAN status.

Step3: On the next page, first you have to select one of the three IDs.

• Member Id

• Aadhaar

• PAN

In our example, we have selected AADHAAR.

Step 4: On the same page, you have to fill your date of birth, mobile number, email id, etc. in the prescribed fields. After this, enter the Captcha code appearing on the screen and click on the button of 'Get Authorization PIN' at the bottom.

Step 5: An OTP number will appear on your mobile number. Put the OTP number in the OTP field below.

Step 6: Under the base and personal details, tick the box in front of I Agree. Finally, click on the button at the bottom of the Validate OTP and get UAN.

As soon as you complete the above-mentioned action, an SMS will appear on your mobile number. In this, your UAN number is written and it is also told that your UAN is active or not. Now the process to know the UAN for the PF account is completed.
